Onkochishin Co., Ltd. Opens World’s First Official Champagne Hotel “CUVÉE J2 HOTEL OSAKA by Onko Chishin ” on January 13, 2024
On January 13, 2024 (Saturday), Onkochishin Co., Ltd. opened the world’s first official champagne hotel, CUVÉE J2 HOTEL OSAKA by Onko Chishin. The hotel, themed around “champagne,” features 11 unique Cuvée Rooms, each created in collaboration with 11 prestigious champagne maisons (producers).
The maisons include “Bollinger,” “Charles Heidsieck,” “Rare Champagne,” “Taittinger,” “Joseph Perrier,” “Nicolas Feuillatte,” “Lallier,” “Jean Vesselle,” “Telmont,” “Cuvelier,” and “Demoiselle.”
Designed by world-renowned architect Shinichi Ogawa, the 14-story hotel dedicates floors 4 through 14 to guest rooms, with each floor featuring a single private room. The minimalist and sophisticated guest rooms, ranging from approximately 37 to 51 square meters, are equipped with “Anytime Baths” that maintain the perfect water temperature at all times. Guests are welcomed with a special message video from the maison and a carefully selected bottle of champagne.
The second floor houses “AWA SUSHI,” a sushi restaurant with a 10-seat counter offering a unique pairing of sushi and champagne. The restaurant is open to both hotel guests and the general public (by reservation only).
