Hakone Emoa Terrace by Onko Chishin is launching its first dinner course, uniquely held inside the classic salon car “Orient Express”. This special plan will be exclusively available through the reservation site “Otonami, which aims to deliver the charm of Japan through unforgettable experiences. The event will take place on Friday, July 5, 2024, with plans to continue on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.

The luxurious salon car “Orient Express”, decorated by René Lalique in 1928, was in actual use until 2001 as the “Côte d’Azur Express” connecting Paris and the South of France. This plan offers a special dinner service in the Orient Express after its regular operating hours (9 AM to 5 PM on a first-come, first-served basis). Guests will have the unique opportunity to dine in the train at night, experiencing an exclusive course menu created by Emoa Terrace’s chef, inspired by Lalique’s life and works and available only through Otonami.

Enjoy a special dinner course featuring seasonal ingredients from Hakone and artistic desserts, all while immersed in the enchanting evening ambiance of the Orient Express, with Lalique’s decorations shimmering beautifully. Indulge in a sophisticated evening of gourmet cuisine and art.
