An Evening Where Champagne Culture Meets a New Dining Experience
On Thursday, April 23, 2026, CUVEE J2 HOTEL OSAKA will host a special event at its sushi restaurant AWA SUSHI, co-hosted for the first time with the Champagne Committee Japan Office, the semi-official organization for Champagne in Japan.

Background of the Collaboration
The Champagne Committee is a semi-official organization that protects the Champagne appellation and passes its quality and culture on to future generations, while CUVEE J2 is officially recognized by 11 Champagne maisons.
This first co-hosted event combines the roles and strengths of both parties to accurately convey the appellation and quality systems that support Champagne, recent trends, and producer classifications such as NM, CM, and RM, while linking them to tasting experiences and presenting Champagne culture in a multidimensional way.

Yukari Sasamoto, Representative of the Champagne Committee Japan Office, will visit
On the day, we will welcome Yukari Sasamoto for a one-night program in which guests can experience Champagne culture through commentary from the Champagne Committee Japan Office, tastings, and pairings with sushi.
Through pairings with sushi unique to CUVEE J2, guests can enjoy the new appeal created when Champagne is connected with cuisine.

After graduating, she joined JALUX and was involved in importing and selling Champagne from major maisons as well as wines from France and other countries.
Since 2017, she has been part of the Champagne Committee Japan Office, planning promotional, educational, and outreach activities for Champagne in the Japanese market.
She is a certified sommelier of the Japan Sommelier Association and has held her current position since 2022.
