A White Day Gift of Experience
Since opening, CUVEE J2 has hosted Maker’s Dinner s where guests experience the craftsmanship of 11 prestigious maisons.
The series has become a popular program where guests learn while enjoying the background of Champagne, producers’ philosophies, and the differences between vintages.
Many participants attend as couples, and it is common for men with strong interest in Champagne’s background and flavor differences to initiate participation.
The highly specialized lineup and the ability to taste while comparing have been especially well received.
This event features Charles Heidsieck, a maison founded in 1851 that embraces a philosophy of crafting Champagne with time as an ally.
Guests can experience the maison’s distinctive qualities, including the depth of reserve wines long aged in crayères 40 meters underground and the differences in flavor by vintage.
Lineup of rare Champagnes gathered for the evening
Brut Réserve (Magnum)
An iconic Charles Heidsieck cuvée blended with over 40% reserve wines and an average aging period of more than 10 years.
Aromas of white flowers, apricot, and toast are layered with nuances of honey and nuts.
Gentle aging in magnum brings a more three-dimensional and supple texture.
It is the maison’s calling card, worthy of expressing the essence of Champagne.
Brut Millésimé 2013
A classical vintage shaped by a cool climate.
The firm structure of Pinot Noir and the precise acidity of Chardonnay are beautifully integrated.
Layers of citrus, brioche, and smoked nut aromas reveal a quiet strength that is just beginning to open.
A modern classic with long-aging potential.
Rosé Millésimé 2012
A feminine and refined vintage rosé where rich fruit and elegant acidity resonate.
Cherry, wild berry, and dried rose aromas are followed by a finish accented with delicate spice.
The roundness and taut acidity born from fully ripe 2012 fruit create a sensual balance when paired with sushi.
Blanc des Millénaires 2007
A Blanc de Blancs made from five crus in the Côte des Blancs.
The 2007 vintage is cool and elegant, with delicate aromas of white flowers, lemon peel, and almond.
On the palate it is smooth and creamy, with a lingering mineral finish. It is an iconic Charles Heidsieck cuvée filled with serene beauty.
Blanc des Millénaires 2014
A long-awaited new vintage symbolizing the maison’s future.
Compared with the delicacy of 2007, the 2014 vintage stands out for clearer fruit and highly pure acidity.
Aromas of fresh lemongrass, white peach, and hazelnut overlap in a transparent structure that combines strength and elegance.
By comparing it with the 2007 vintage, guests can experience the wonder of aging woven by time.
